Happy Father's Day!

Here's how Ryoko (drawn by Juliette de Wit, text by me, for Tina Magazine) celebrates Father's Day with her parents:

Talking about Tina - a few days ago another comic written by me debuted in this most popular Dutch girls' comics magazine: Marrie & Merrie, about a girl and her cranky horse. Art is by Dorith Graef, and when I say art I mean ART: she paints every comic panel separately in watercolor paintings!

I had a busy week, with a few highlights:

Photographer Laura Cnossen came to shoot a new "official" photo of me - I've abandoned my red hair two years ago, embracing the grey, but did not have a nice printworthy photograph of it yet. And now I do!

On Thursday, we recorded the 100th edition of Stripjournaal Podcast (Dutch podcast about comics), which I've been co-hosting since 2020. Now me and fellow-sidekick Seb van der Kaaden are leaving our host Robin Vinck and the show to go onto new adventures. A momentous occasion which we celebrated by looking back on all the highs and lows. By the end, we were all a bit sad:

On Friday, I did a book signing at comicstore Lambiek, which was a real pleasure:

What's coming up?

This Monday, June 19th, is not only my husband's birthday but also the day the 100th Stripjournaal Podcast will come online (usually at 6 am) AND in the evening at 20PM (Amsterdam time) I will be guest in the live-stream of Bammerdebam, with hosts Jacarrino Dost, André Kikker and Marvin Lancel. I will share my Top 5 favorite comics and answer questions of the attendees - which could be you if you understand Dutch and tune in here:
