When you plan to be together for the long haul, it’s insane to assume things and feelings will always stay the same. What If one of us catches feelings for someone else? What If one of us has sex with someone else? What If one of us (ahem) goes through menopause and their whole world seems upside down?
These are all things we talked about, mostly lightheartedly, since week two of getting to know each other - seventeen years ago. I can recommend it to anyone. Talk about it before it becomes an issue. Then you know each others’ thought processes if and when something does happen.
