It’s October and that means… Inktober! When artists worldwide challenge themselves to make a drawing every day, to certain prompts. This year, I’m participating with my comic character Mijntje, accompanied by her lovely girlfriend Mia. I’m following the prompts, and at the same time I try to get a bit of a narrative in about Mijntje & Mia’s history and life together:
I’m also using Inktober to get more acquainted with my iPad, as you can probably see from the different brushes I’m trying out.
And there’s another reason I’m drawing Mijntje for Inktober…
Actually, this post is a secret ploy to get you to look at my new crowdfunding! But only if you’re Dutch, since it’s for Mijntje’s second album of comics, in Dutch, which can be pre-ordered here.
Also if you’re Dutch: there’s a podcast about crowdfunding online now, made by Veerle Corstens for Leve Het Geven, which (among others) features me, “the crowdfunding queen” - I share tips and tricks! Listen to it here.
This photo was taken by Caecilia Rasch on the day the podcast was recorded, at my home:
Yes, I have a rat!
that's a cute way to do the inktober thing. i usually not so into it, but tying it to a narrative like this makes it a bit more interesting. curious to see where your project goes <|;}
Congrats and good luck on the crowdfunding!! 👍
