Hormonal attack!
YAAAAAAAA!!!
I just posted a Minnie-comic about PMS, here:
…and it made me think of a comic I made waaayyy back in 2002, when I was just starting out in comics and drawing them for my self-published series Kinderleed Komix:
I had red hair back then. And a boyfriend who was rather baffled by all the menstrual mayhem.
I stopped bleeding three years ago, and since I started Hormone Replacement Therapy two years ago I’ve found a hormonal equilibrium that I have not experienced since I was eleven years old.
Now that I’m out of it, I find it incredible what an impact the menstrual cycle has had on my moods, energy, self-image and overall levels of happiness. For almost forty years!
So glad to be out of it.
Have you seen this?

That's all just between your ears?!?!?!?! I take it that might be one reason he became an ex-boyfriend? In my pre-menopause days, my husband used to throw chocolate at me so he could make his escape... just kidding, he fed me the chocolate, he's a good guy with good survival instincts. 🤯
It’s fantastic not to be ruled by hormones!
