Aw, the things we 'should' do according to what society demands. So many of those things just don't work for everybody. Every year the media reports couples have sex twice a week on average. Then how come I know SO many people who hardly have sex anymore but are still very happily together? And not just now, midlife. Even younger couples. And the sad part is that I know a couple who MUST have sex twice a week because of that media nonsense because, they say, everybody else has it too. But they don't even enjoy it. It's become a chore to strike off the daily to-do list. Isn't that sad? I think it's wonderful that people like you do what's best for YOU. Being together is only love when it's not a chore.

Reading your illustrated mariage column, I got thrown back to my own mariage. I had no choice, my wife was killed crossing the road, so there was no choice in doing my lonely walks, not feeling her curled up beside me in our bed, no more warmth, no more fun, no more caring for each other, no living apart together, just apart. Reading it, it suddenly hurt. But I get it and I love the openness in the column. My misery should not be someone else's. Keep shining and sharing.
