Is Pookie named after Garfield's teddy bear? I love Garfield.

I find it adorably innocent that you believe you now "own" this cat. In fact, it is cats who own humans. They somehow enchant or coerce us into thinking they are our pets, and are right now laughing into their paws that we have fallen for it.

You're absolutely right! The only perk I claim is that I call him MINE on the internets. AND that he snuggled up to me last night, which I'm convinced is because he knows the Impfpass somehow forces me to be his personell-for-life.

Welcome to the cult of cat servitude.

What a wholesome story. Thank you for taking care of him.

A friend of ours found a pookie sized fella during the lockdowns. His tail was injured and needed care but he was too feisty for her, so she asked us for help and we took him in.

Tere was no soft play, and the living room was his territory to defend with teeth and claw. But when the moment came to cleanup his wound and apply medication, he patiently awaited for it to happen even if it hurt. I guess he knew we were helping and it was his way of sayin thanks.

Then back to slashing. After a year we found him a home in a farm, they needed a big cat to take ownership of the main house, and he was just perfect.

I felt sorry for Pookie in the earlier video... what a huge cast! I'm happy to hear that now he is yours and you are his. Curiosity question: Does the fact that the "male" sign on his certificate is crossed out mean that he's neutered? If so, I'm amazed that he gets into so many fights!

Yes, it means exactly that! I fear the fights are mostly initiated by the neighbor cats. All of his wounds were to his rear, meaning they got him as he was on the retreat...

Stupid bullies. At least he's safe in the house with his human mama now. 🤗

Pookie is one of my favorite names for an animal. Mine is a bear, a cartoon bear, at that, but their innate Pookiness cannot be denied. Congrats on becoming Pookie's human! Glad he has shed his cone of shame!
